Quiet, non-marking caster selection for medical carts

Contenido visual de aplicación pendiente de verificación

01

The challenge

Medical carts may move through quiet areas, change direction frequently and stop near people or sensitive equipment. Noise, floor marking and brake access therefore need separate review.

02

Operating conditions

Define floor surfaces, cleaning agents, expected debris, travel speed, total cart load and the operator position when applying the brake.

03

Caster selection factors

  • Resilient tread can support quieter travel and floor care, but load and rolling effort still require verification.
  • A precision bearing may improve consistency under frequent directional changes.
  • Brake pedals must remain reachable within the installed equipment geometry.

04

Recommended configuration path

Shortlist TPR or rubber tread options after confirming load, diameter and mounting. Compare swivel-only, total-lock and directional-control arrangements against the cart layout.

05

Engineering notes

Clinical suitability, cleaning compatibility and acoustic performance require project-specific validation. No certification or measured noise reduction is claimed here.
